Mindful Act of Kindness – Pick Up Dropped Clothes off the Floor at the Store

Mindful Act of Kindness - Pick Up Dropped Clothes off the Floor at the Store

Instead of stepping over that sweater on the floor in the aftermath of a crazed department store sale, pick it up and set it on table. Better yet, bring it to the counter or dressing room area. Unless you’re in retail yourself, skip folding it. You’ll just mess it up and the associate will have to fold it again anyway. I know those needles are scary. But each pint of your blood can save 3 lives. Count ’em. Three! That’s three more people out there who could be doing mindful acts of kindness. Most hospitals will let you donate every 90 days. That means every year you could literally save 12 lives. Isn’t that worth the little pinch? Plus, they’ll give you a cookie and maybe a juice box. Score! They might even give you a latex glove balloon if you’re really being a baby about it.
